Fort Bend County Commissioners Court today voted unanimously to propose a combined tax rate of $0.499760 per $100 valuation for the 2012 tax year.

The property tax rate includes both the county’s rate of $0.48076 per $100 valuation, and the drainage district maintenance fund of $0.01900.

A total of $0.37776 will be dedicated to the county’s General Fund, with revenues from $0.02800 to be placed in the Road and Bridge Fund, and the revenues from the remaining $0.07500 will be used to make payments on the county’s bonded indebtedness.

The total combined rate is above the 2012 effective rate of $0.497478 per $100 valuation, but below the rollback tax rate of $0.543052.

The county anticipates tax revenues of $193,041,775 for the year, while the projected revenues for the drainage district’s fund are $7,535,215.  Tax Information
