Thursday, August 16, 2012

Taylor Lake Village City Council on Wednesday voted unanimously to schedule a joint public hearing for September 19 with the city's Planning and Zoning Commission to consider amending the Zoning Ordinance to change the definition of “substantial damage” or “substantial improvement”.

The definitions determine damage levels that require a structure to be brought up to current codes if repaired.

The city council voted unanimously to approve a contract with Green Earth Resources.

The city council took no action regarding the hiring of Lex Paxton as a full time police officer for the Lakeview Police Department.

The city council took no action regarding an interlocal agreement with the City of El Lago to operate and fund the Lakeview Police Department.

All other items were approved by unanimous vote. Council Member Alan Koelemay was absent. Agenda
