JESSICA CAIN 15TH YEAR VIGIL

WHERE: HIGHLAND BAYOU PARK, LA MARQUE
WHEN: SATURDAY, AUGUST 18TH 6PM - 9PM

On August 17, 1997, 17 year-old Jessica Cain disappeared along Interstate 45, on her way home from performing at a local theater. Later that morning, Jessica’s truck was found by her father on the shoulder of the highway, outside of Highland Bayou Park. Jessica has not been seen since that day. The Laura Recovery Center has been searching for Jessica from the very first day she went missing, when her neighbor asked Bob and Gay Smither for help. “Our hearts bleed for Suzy and CH Cain. No family should have to endure the nightmare of a missing child, but the Cains face the unfathomable pain of endless searching, with no answers and no resolution. This is not right.” says Gay Smither.

A candlelight vigil is being planned by friends of Jessica Cain for the 15th anniversary of Jessica’s disappearance. Jessica's friends have created a beautiful contemplation area in the park to honor her memory, and the vigil will be held at this place. On Saturday, August 18th, a gathering and candlelight vigil will be held at Highland Bayou Park in La Marque from 6PM to 9PM. The purpose of this event is not only to keep alive Jessica’s wonderful spirit, but also to honor her, and remind everyone that she is still missing. We invite you to join us at 6:00 where we will have light refreshments, with a candlelight vigil to begin at approximately 8:00.

The Laura Recovery Center – for missing children has been searching for Jessica for 15 years. Please help us bring her disappearance before the public again – to remind them that she is still missing. Someone knows something – and publicizing her disappearance again at this time might be the time that that person grows a conscience and comes forward with the information needed to bring resolution in this case. Anyone with information is asked to call the Laura Recovery Center – for missing children at: 281-482-5723. Jessica's flyer can be downloaded from the LRC website at:
www.LRCF.org

The public and the media are invited to come to this 15th anniversary vigil.
