Repaving Work Along FM 518 Begins August 22

Beginning this Wednesday, August 22, The Texas Department of Transportation will begin construction on a project along FM 518 (also known as Friendswood Drive) that spans from FM 2351 to Castlewood in Friendswood.

The project will consist of replacing the asphalt roadway along this section of FM 518.  TxDOT will also replace car sensors for traffic signals that are located underneath the roadway.  The project is expected to last about six weeks.

Periodic alternating lane closures are expected throughout this project.  Please exercise caution when driving through the area.  For more information, please contact the City of Friendswood at 281-996-3201.
