Clear Lake Shores City Council
by Garrett Bryce
Wednesday, August 22, 2012

Clear Lake Shores City Council on Tuesday voted unanimously to award a bank depository bid contract to Wells Fargo Bank.

Wells Fargo already currently provides depository services for the city.  No other banks replied to a request for proposals.  Hometown Bank requested to be removed from future bidding.

The city council voted 4-1, with Carlo Ianni opposed, to approve the hiring of an additional maintenance position.

The city council took no action regarding a resolution to limiting the amount of time city personnel may spend producing public information for inspection or duplication without recovering costs for man hours associated with filling the request.  The resolution would limit staff to 36 hours per year for working on requests without recovering costs.

The item will be considered at a future date.

The city council voted unanimously to adopt a resolution to establish an emergency management program.

The city council voted unanimously to appoint Larry McCaslin to the Zoning Board of Adjustments.

All other items were approved by unanimous vote. All members were present.  Agenda
