City’s Office of International Communities Announces Citizenship & Immigration Forum
Forum Informs Residents on How to Apply for Citizenship

The City of Houston’s Office of International Communities, a division of the Department of Neighborhoods, invites the interested public to a Citizen & Immigration Forum, scheduled for Saturday, August 25, 10 a.m. to 12 noon, at Lone Star College, 20000 Kingwood Drive, Houston, TX 77339.

Sponsored in partnership with the National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials Educational Fund (NALEO) and Neighborhood Centers Inc (NCI), the forum is part of a continuing series of presentations focusing on citizenship application procedures and the rights and responsibilities of new citizens. 

The forum will feature talks by immigration experts, including representatives of United States Citizenship & Immigration Services (USCIS) and immigrant services agencies.  Free legal advice regarding immigration and citizenship matters will be available to attendees on a first-come, first-served basis.
