Jefferson County Commissioners Court today voted unanimously to approve a contract with Linebarger Goggan Blair & Sampson, LLP for the collection of delinquent court fees and fines.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to reappoint Gladdie Fowler and Tim Sudela to the Spindletop Center Board of Trustees for two-year terms.

Fowler was appointed by Commissioner Michael Sinegal, while Sudela is appointed by County Judge Jeff Branick.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to execute a notice of intent to participate in the Texas Department of Agriculture "Hog Out" Grants Program.

The commissioners court tabled action regarding a burn ban order for the county.  No burn ban is currently in effect.

The commissioner court voted unanimously to adopt the Mitigation Action Plan of the Southeast Texas Regional Planning Commission.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to approve a contract for arraignment services and all other duties to be performed by judges Leonard Giblin, Jr., Harold Plessala, Charles Carver, or other qualified magistrates.

All other items were approved by unanimous vote. All members were present.  Agenda

During the meeting, the commissioners court heard a presentation from the Young Men’s Business League related to the results of the Southeast Texas State Fair.
