COM to host Tanger Outlets Job Fair

Job seekers can explore new opportunities at the Tanger Outlets Job Fair hosted by College of the Mainland from noon to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 6 in the COM Gym.
 
Individuals can attend the free event to meet with representatives from Tanger Outlets and its brand-name retailers. The new outlet in Texas City has many part- and full-time positions available, and attendees are encouraged to bring copies of their résumés.
 
“With the current economy, many people are looking for jobs,” said Al Bass, COM dean of special projects. “We’re able to reach out to a new business and offer our facilities to provide opportunities for students and the community to learn about jobs.”
 
The Texas City Tanger Outlet Center is set to have nearly 90 retailers and include a food court.
 
“It is exciting that the new Tanger Outlet Center in Texas City is providing approximately 900 quality, full and part-time retail management, sales and other positions for Gulf Coast residents,” said Aimee Braswell, Tanger Outlets general manager.
 
The center will be located at 5885 Gulf Freeway in Texas City. Its Grand Opening Celebration will be held on October 19.
