Ball-La Marque rivalry opens high school football season at Courville stadium on Thursday night; introduction of GISD student-athletes, spirit and dance groups set for next Wednesday
GALVESTON, Texas – One of the oldest traditions in Texas high school football continues when the Ball High Tornadoes host the La Marque Cougars in the Clash of the Causeway this Thursday night, August 30 at Kermit Courville Stadium (1307 27th Street). Kick-off is at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are now on sale.
The Ball High Athletic Office is selling pre-sale tickets for $6 for adults, $3 for students in Room 1311 at Ball High (doors at the corner of 41st and P Street). The pre-sale will last through Wednesday from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. and 8:30 a.m.-noon on Thursday. Tickets will be available at the stadium gates for $8. Season passes for all Tor home games are also available at the Athletic Office.
Galveston ISD will introduce the community to its student athletes, spirit and dance teams, as well as leadership groups in its annual City-Wide Pep Rally to be held at Kermit Courville on Wednesday, Sept. 5 at 6 p.m. Admission is free for all who wish to attend.
