Missouri City Preparing for a “Team Clean” Day On Sept. 21
City Offices Will Be Closed

On Friday, Sept. 21, Missouri City employees will join forces for a “Team Clean” and dedicate the day to cleaning out and organizing their work areas.

All non-emergency City offices will be closed except for Permits & Inspections; that office will be open from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. to accept monthly Planning & Zoning submittals. It will be closed for the duration of the day. City offices will reopen for regular business hours at 8 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 24.

Residents who have questions about City services and programs should call 281.403.8500 and leave a message. Residents and businesses with questions about inspections and permits should call 281.403.8600 and leave a message. City staff will promptly return all calls on Monday. For emergencies, please call 281.403.8700.

The goal of the “Team Clean” project is to provide City staff an opportunity to review, organize and archive electronic and paper files, clear out non-essential files and clutter, and to recycle paper, office equipment and other accessories. A newly formed City Green Committee will coordinate the recycling portion of the project.

“Missouri City is proud of our clean, green environmental initiatives,” said Records Management Coordinator Vickie Berglund, who is spearheading the project. “As part of our goals to effectively and efficiently serve citizens, employees will work together to clear out any clutter we have; helping to streamline our work processes.”
