Hallettsville, Texas - On Sept 8th through Oct 1st, local photographer Mieko Mahi will exhibit a photographic glimpse into the land and offshore energy industry at the Englein Haus, a historical cultural events center, 115 N. Main St., in Hallettsville.
Originally debuted at the Ocean Star Offshore Energy Center museum in Galveston, Texas, the offshore images showcase dynamic views of the different equipment and technology used to explore and produce oil and gas in the Gulf of Mexico through the lens of award-winning industry photographer Mieko Mahi.
The oilfield photographs accurately portray the oil and gas industry as it really is - dynamic, fast-paced, technically advanced with an emphasis on safety and respect for the environment.
This is a must-see exhibit for area students, those interested in working with oilfield, or companies that work within the energy industry.
The exhibit is set to run from September 8th to October 1st. A reception will open the exhibit on September 8th and September 9th at 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Free to the public.
Mieko Mahi is a freelance petroleum photographer and has been photographing
the energy industry since 1988. Her photographs have been featured on the covers and inside page of numerous publications including Oil and Gas Investor, Offshore Engineer,Oil & Gas Journal, World Oil, US World News & Report, Popular Science, and New York Times.
