Jefferson County Commissioners Court

Jefferson County Commissioners Court today voted unanimously to accept a $121,500 grant award through the 2012 Port Security Grant Program.

The grant total includes a $40,500 cash match to be provided by the county’s Marine Division.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to execute a loan agreement for an MK 16 Torpedo to be on exhibit at Veterans Memorial Park.

The commissioners court tabled action regarding a burn ban order for the county. There is currently no burn ban order in effect for the county.

All other items were approved by unanimous vote.  All members were present.  Agenda

Following the meeting, the commissioners court held workshops to discuss the possible creation of a county elections administrator position, and to discuss the county’s FY2013 budget.
