The Texas Legislature allowed Texas property owners to sign up to receive their tax statement via email beginning with the 2012 tax year.  The deadline to sign up is just DAYS away! 

If you are interested in helping us help you save money, please sign up today at the Galveston County Tax Office website at www.galcotax.com and click on the red button (Look Up and Pay Property Taxes Here) at the top of the webpage.  Follow the instructions to look up your property tax account and then, from your property “homepage” scroll down to the link “Register to Receive Electronic Tax Statement.” Complete the requested information, read and agree to the terms and submit your request.  You will receive a verification email within 15 minutes from GalvestonCountyTaxOffice@taxoffice.com.  You must follow the instructions in the email within three (3) days.  If you do not respond to the confirmation email within the three days, you must resubmit your request. 

Once signed up, you will continue to receive all subsequent tax bills electronically, until revoked in writing to the Galveston County Tax Office Property Tax Department.  Therefore, if your email changes, you would want to re-register for future statements.
