Taylor Lake Village City Council on Wednesday voted unanimously to approve an interlocal agreement with the City of El Lago to operate and fund the Lakeview Police Department.

The cities each share in the operation of the department, which provides service to both towns. El Lago postponed its meeting on Wednesday, but will consider the agreement on September 12.

The city council voted unanimously to table action regarding adoption of the Lakeview Police Department's FY2013 Budget.

The city council voted unanimously to schedule a public hearing for October 3 to receive comments on the city's proposed FY2013 Budget. The city council reviewed the draft budget, taking no further action.

The city council took no action on proposing a tax rate for the year. The city is still awaiting calculation of its effective and rollback tax rates before proposing a rate.

The city council voted unanimously to table action regarding a franchise agreement with CenterPoint Energy Houston Electric, LLC.

The city council voted unanimously to appoint Patrick Delly as vice chair, Wayne Wicks as a regular member, and Bonnie Ward as an alternate member of the Police Commission.

The city council voted unanimously to decline to cast a ballot on nominations to the Texas Municipal League Intergovernmental Employee Benefits Pool Board of Trustees election.
