Galveston Police Arrest Serial Robbers

Aggravated Robbery Charges Filed on Three Men

Galveston, TX – On September 6th at 5:55pm a hold up alarm was received from the T-Mobile store at 2302 61st Street. All available officers responded to the call, which was being remotely monitored by ADT using closed circuit cameras. ADT advised that there was a black male wearing all black with a red bandana covering his face in the store with a handgun.

The first personnel on scene, Officer Jason Villarreal, disseminated descriptive information of the robber and that his last know direction of travel was eastbound on Ave R ½ from 61st Street. Sergeant Balli was nearby and spotted a silver Oldsmobile turning east onto Heards Lane from 59th Street at a high rate of speed. Sergeant Balli had information that a vehicle matching this description was involved in multiple Aggravated Robberies in the past few days. Officers initiated a high risk traffic stop in the 5700 block of Heards Lane. The stop resulted in the arrest of the suspected robbers and recovery of merchandise taken from T-Mobile, along with a BB gun that resembles a semi-automatic handgun.

The driver of the vehicle was identified as Erick Brazier (09/15/1993, B/M, 3916 Ave G). The passenger was identified as Aaron King (07/28/1992, B/M, 3916 Ave G). The two men were taken into custody without incident.

Erick and Aaron were believed to have committed two Robberies on September 3rd at 502 Ferry Road (Shell Gas Station) and 1902 45th (One Stop Convenience Store). Larry Bivens (08/27/1991, B/M, 3916 Ave G) is believed to be involved in these two robberies and was arrested shortly after the robbery at One Stop.

Investigators interviewed Aaron and Erick after their arrest. They received a confession from the two stating that the three robberies were committed by Aaron King entering the businesses wearing a red bandana over his face, brandishing a gun, and demanding money, and Erick Brazier waiting nearby to act as the getaway driver.

Aaron King is charged with one count of Aggravated Robbery (T-Mobile Location) with a $40,000 bond. Eric Brazier is charged with one count of Aggravated Robbery (T-Mobile Location) with an $80,000 bond. Warrants have been requested for these two men on the previous robberies (Shell Gas Station and One Stop).
