El Lago City Council on Wednesday voted unanimously to appoint Council Member John Skelton as representative and Council Member Carolynn Stanley as alternate to the Houston-Galveston Area Council General Assembly.
The city council voted 3-1, with Jeff Tave opposed, to approve an interlocal agreement with Taylor Lake Village for the services of the Lakeview Police Department.
The two-year agreement was approved with changes, which will require approval by Taylor Lake Village's city council. Changes include an expansion of square footage used by the police department in city facilities, an increase in the cost per square foot, and additional changes to cost sharing in the agreement.
The city council voted unanimously to approve the FY2013 Budget of the Lakeview Police Department. El Lago's share of funding the department, which is also paid by Taylor Lake Village, is $682,500 for the year. However the amount may change depending upon adjustments to the agreement between the two cities.
The city council took no action, nor was discussion held, regarding the city's FY2013 Budget.
The city council tabled action regarding a proposed tax increase for 2012.
No action was taken following an executive session discussion regarding personnel matters.
All other items were approved by unanimous vote. Council Member Amy Carr was absent. Agenda
