Space Shuttle Endeavor to Visit Houston
by Jim Guidry
Saturday, September 15, 2012
The space shuttle Endeavour, carried atop NASA's 747 Shuttle Carrier Aircraft, was scheduled to visit Houston on Monday, but the cold front has slowed and now is not expected to clear Houston in time for a safe arrival Monday at Ellington.
So for safety of the vehicle in transit, the plan now shifts one day with a Houston/Ellington stopover including one night with departure for California near sunrise Wednesday.
A parking map and instructions for Ellington Field access has been posted on the Johnson Space Center website.
