Santa Fe ISD Board of Trustees
by Garrett Bryce
Tuesday, September 18, 2012

The Santa Fe Independent School District Board of Trustees on Monday voted unanimously to approve a memorandum of understanding with Hitchcock Independent School District to enroll Santa Fe students in Hitchcock ISD’s auto technology classes.

Hitchcock ISD maintains equipment and an instructor for the program, which Santa Fe ISD does not.  Under the memorandum, Santa Fe ISD will pay $500 per semester for a student to participate in the program.

The school board voted to approve a $25,000 contract with Christus St. John for the services of a certified trainer.

The trainer will provide CPR and first aid training for coaches and other staff at the school district.

The school board voted to approve a contract with the Texas Association of School Boards Risk Management Fund for unemployment compensation coverage for 2012-2013.

All items were approved.  All votes were unanimous with all members present.  Agenda
