The Hitchcock City Commission, in a special meeting on Wednesday, voted unanimously to direct the city's attorney to draft a letter approving of a possible rifle/training facility at 7575 FM 2004.

The site is the former Grand Sport Speedway at the Blimp Base. David Zubick requested the letter from the city.

The rifle range would be for training for government law enforcement agents, and would not be open to the public.
