Construction for METRORail Expansion projects
requires traffic alterations near downtown
New METRO light-rail lines are coming to downtown and their construction will require closure of Capitol and parts of Rusk between Fannin and Travis, and on Main from Texas to Walker on weekends through March 2013. Work hours are 7 pm Fridays, until 4 am Mondays. Businesses in the area will remain open and as always, they appreciate your support.

SERVICE CHANGE Rail service alert Also due to construction Friday, Sept. 21, 9 pm - Sunday, Sept. 23, midnight there will be no rail service between the UH-Downtown and Downtown Transit Ctr. stations. Medical Center and Museum District passengers will not be affected.
TRAFFIC SHIFTS and DETOURS
On the Southeast Line: Roadway work at intersections makes it necessary for a traffic shift on Elgin between Milby and Napoleon beginning Friday, Sept. 21. . East and westbound traffic will share eastbound lanes in that area. Also a Road Closure - Martin Luther King Jr and Wheeler beginning Friday, Sept. 21.
East End Line: Detour Texas at Norwood required due to construction between 8 am-5 pm begins Thursday, Sept. 20 for approximately four weeks Mondays through Fridays and another at Harrisburg at Cesar Chavez .
North Line: Detour required for bridge construction at Hogan and N. Main
