Fort Bend County Commissioners Court on Tuesday voted unanimously to renew an agreement with the Greater Fort Bend Economic Development Council for FY2013 for business development activities.
The county will pay $300,000 to the economic development council for its services, which includes developing a comprehensive program for the solicitation of industrial, business and commercial prospects for location in Fort Bend County.
The commissioners court voted to approve joint election agreements with the City of Houston, the Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County, and the Water Control and Improvement District No. 10.
The commissioners court voted to amend an agreement with Harris County for the joint construction, maintenance and operation of the Fort Bend Parkway Toll Road and Fort Bend Westpark Extension Toll Road.
The amendment discontinues Harris County’s responsibilities for maintenance of both roadways, stating that Harris County shall have no responsibility to maintain neither the Fort Bend Parkway nor Fort Bend Westpark Extension roads.

The commissioners court voted to reappoint Scott Jacobson and Richard Sherrill to the First Colony Levee Improvement District Board of Directors.
