Brazoria County Commissioners Court on Tuesday voted unanimously to establish procedures for processing income and resources of sponsors for resident aliens applying for benefits under the county’s Indigent Health Program.
The Texas Department of State Health Services has required a procedure be adopted for processing the resources and income of a sponsor and sponsor’s spouse. Policy
During the meeting, the commissioners court issued a proclamation in celebration of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church for 145 years of community service. The commissioners court voted unanimously to appoint Rex Lloyd to the Parks Board. Lloyd will fill the unexpired term of Keith Ordineaux, who resigned from the board.
The commissioners Court voted unanimously to reappoint Connie E. Garner as County Auditor.
The commissioners court voted unanimously to award a contract for custodial services for county facilities to American Facility Services.
The commissioners court voted unanimously to cancel bids for concrete containment and to advertise for new bids.
The commissioners court took no action regarding approval of new payment standards under the Housing and Urban Development Department Section 8 House Choice Voucher Program.
The commissioners court took no action regarding airport property on County Road 220B. Following an executive session, the commissioners court voted unanimously to approve the release of airport property at 8007 County Road 220B at a “reasonable rate”.
The commissioners court took no action following an executive session regarding consultation with counsel regarding possible litigation, including possible litigation regarding violations of floodplain and environmental regulations.
The commissioners court voted unanimously to approve a contract, as discussed in executive session, concerning legal services.
During the meeting, the commissioners court issued a proclamation recognizing Pearland Lumber for its years of civic service.
