Beaumont, Texas - Beginning Monday, Oct. 1, at 8 a.m., the portion of Poplar Street between Madison and Doucette Avenues will be closed for street improvements.

The closure is expected to last through Monday, Oct. 8. Motorists may detour the closure on Madison Avenue and Hemlock Street, and are asked to travel with caution.
