Kemah City Council on Thursday voted unanimously to renew City Administrator Rick Beverlin's contract for an additional three years.
Beverlin's contract was extended following an executive session discussion.
The city council voted to renew a contract with Marie Janke for special events coordinating services. The contract was renewed for a one-year period at $3,000 per month.
The city council voted to approve allocating $2,500 from hotel occupancy taxes for funds for the Salute to Military Service for The Children of the Fallen Relief Fund – Texas Chapter. The funds will support an event on November 2-4. Mayor Bob Cummins said he would personally match the $2,500 provided by the city.
The city council voted to approve an allocation of $2,500 from hotel occupancy taxes for Yachty Gras 2013.
The city council voted to approve a tourism agreement with the Bay Area Houston Convention and Visitors Bureau.
