Street Closures Scheduled

Beaumont, Texas - A number of roadways will be affected by repairs and maintenance in the coming week. Motorists are asked to be aware of all detour signs, advance warnings and other signage, and travel with caution.

Partial Closure: Highway 69/96 (Eastex Freeway) between Lucas and the LNVA Canal
City crews will be making freeway lighting repairs in the center median of Eastex Freeway, between Delaware and Lucas, on Sunday, Oct. 7. The inside shoulders of the road will be closed adjacent to the work area between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. All traffic lanes will remain open.

Street Closure: Wilson Street between Abilene and El Paso Streets  
Drainage District 6 crews will close Wilson Street between Abilene and El Paso Streets beginning Monday , Oct. 8, for drainage improvements. The closure is expected to last a month. Access for local residents will be maintained throughout the closure. 

Hemlock Street between Van Buren and Doucette Avenues
Beginning Monday Oct. 8, at 8 a.m., Hemlock Street, from Van Buren to Doucette Avenue, will be closed for street improvements. The closure is expected to last through October 15. Motorists may detour this closure on Madison Avenue and Sycamore Street.
