Governor Rick Perry has appointed Martin Broussard of Beaumont and Ray Callas of Beaumont to the Jefferson and Orange County Board of Pilot Commissioners for terms to expire Aug. 22, 2014.
Broussard is president and owner of LeaseAll/RentAll Inc., a certified public accountant, and former attorney. He is a board member of CHRISTUS Health Southeast Texas and president of the CHISTUS Health Foundation of Southeast Texas. He is also a member of the Boy Scouts of America Board Three Rivers Council. Broussard received a bachelor's degree from the University of Notre Dame and a law degree from Southern Methodist University. He is being reappointed.
Callas is a physician and managing partner of Anesthesia Associates. He is a member of the American and Texas Medical associations, vice speaker of the house of the Texas Society of Anesthesiologists, Texas delegate to the American Society of Anesthesiologists and American Medical Association, and past president of the Jefferson County Medical Society. He is also an advisor to the Beaumont Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and a member of the American Cancer Society of Beaumont's Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk. He served in the U.S. Navy. Callas received a bachelor's degree from Texas A&M University and a medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston.
