League City Chamber Hires New President/CEO
On behalf of the Chamber Board of Directors, Chairwoman Bridget Bear is pleased to announce the hiring of a new Chamber President/CEO. After almost two months of interviews of the candidates, the Chamber Search Committee presented its recommendation for the position to the Chamber Board. The Chamber Board approved the recommendation unanimously and is pleased to announce that Laurie Baldwin has accepted the position of President/CEO of the League City Chamber of Commerce.
Laurie will be moving to League City from Duncan, Oklahoma. Her previous experience includes over five years as the Director of Events for the Duncan Chamber of Commerce. She has over 11 years experience in management, event planning, tourism, marketing and customer service.
Laurie is very excited to make this move to the Bay Area with her husband Eric and two children, ages 11 and 10. They know that the area offers an excellent school district and enjoyable family life by being so close to the water with so many community activities. She is “eager to meet all of the Chamber members and says that she is thrilled to have been selected as the new President/CEO of the Chamber. She is looking forward to helping the organization grow and making a difference in both commerce and the quality of life in League City”.
Please join the League City Chamber of Commerce in giving Laurie and her family a warm “Texas” welcome on her official start date of November 1st!
