Pasadena City Council

Pasadena City Council on Tuesday voted 5-3, with Don Harrison, Ornaldo Ybarra, and Pat Van Houte opposed, to accept the recommendations of a committee regarding the city's fixed-route bus service and to discontinue the service effective October 31.

According to Richard Scott, the spokesperson for Mayor Johnny Isbell, the committee studied the bus service for three-to-four weeks to compile a report. The committee recommended discontinuing the service after presenting the ridership and cost associated with operating the buses.

The council had discussed the item during the past several meetings, including as part of budget negotiations. Agenda
