Gov. Appoints Hagler to Texas Council on Purchasing from People with Disabilities
Austin, Texas - Gov. Rick Perry has appointed Glenn Hagler of Georgetown to the Texas Council on Purchasing from People with Disabilities for a term to expire Jan. 31, 2017. The council helps Texans with disabilities achieve maximum personal independence through productive employment opportunities.
Hagler is interim director of the Texas Department of Transportation General Services Division. He is a board member of the Texas Association of Public Purchasers, and a member of the National Institute of Governmental Purchasing. He is also a member and past chair of the National Academies Transportation Research Board Committee on Maintenance Equipment, and is purchasing subcommittee vice chair of the State Agency Coordinating Committee.
Hagler received a bachelor's degree from the University of Mary Hardin Baylor.
