The Village of Tiki Island Board of Aldermen on Tuesday voted unanimously to schedule a dedication for the village’s Public Safety Building for November 21.
The dedication will take place at 10 a.m.
The village board voted 3-1, with Gwen Schultea opposed, to approve amendments to the village’s ordinance regarding residential lot restrictions, parking, vacant lot restrictions and material adjacent to roadways.
The village board voted unanimously to appoint Alderman Tim Rainey to replace Mayor Pro Tem Ron Simons as representative to the Houston-Galveston Area Council.
The village board voted unanimously to appoint Rainey as Simons’ replacement on the Galveston County Transit District Board of Directors.
The village board voted unanimously to transfer ownership of a water well located at the Galveston County Fresh Water Supply District No. 6 Water Plant to the district.
All other items were approved by unanimous vote. Mayor Pro Tem Ron Simons was absent. Agenda
