Hitchcock ISD Board of Trustees

The Hitchcock Independent School District Board of Trustees on Tuesday voted unanimously to name Board Member Estelle Holmes as representative and Board Member Edward Wilson as alternate to the Houston-Galveston Area Council General Assembly.

The board voted unanimously to name Board Member Dianne James as the board’s liaison to the Kids First Head Start Program. 

The board voted unanimously to approve filing a request for an exception to the class size limit of 22 students per teacher for Kindergarten and third grade classes.

The board voted unanimously to approve a motion to immediately enter into negotiations with the City of Hitchcock concerning real property located adjacent to the Crosby campus.  The item was discussed during an executive session.

The board took no action regarding personnel matters discussed in the closed session.

The board voted unanimously to schedule the District Holiday Reception for December 18.

The board voted unanimously to adopt a proclamation naming October as Principal’s Month.  Proclamation

All other items were approved by unanimous vote. All members were present.  Agenda
