The Friends of the Houston Public Library to Hold 2012 Children's Book Sale

Families and teachers are invited to the 2012 Children’s Book Sale hosted by the Friends of the Houston Public Library on Friday, November 2 and Saturday, November 3, 2012 in the Activities Building of the Resurrection Metropolitan Community Church, 2025 West 11th Street, 77008 at the intersection of T. C. Jester and W. 11th Street. Everyone will enjoy finding great children’s books at bargain prices.

The sale features books for ages up to 18, and none priced higher than $2. All “easy” picture books as well as graphic novels and board books for babies will be $1.  Specially-priced “grab bag” boxes of paperbacks and assorted goodies will be sold for $10 (50-75 items per box). Book categories include fiction and nonfiction, audio and visual items, reference materials, encyclopedia sets, books in English, Spanish, and Vietnamese, resources for parents, teachers, and homeschoolers all at $2 or less.   Educators need their tax-exempt ID. Checks, cash, and credit cards (Visa and MasterCard) will be accepted. All proceeds from the 2012 Children’s Book Sale support the Houston Public Library and help provide funding for library programs, materials, and scholarships.

  • Friday, November 2 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Saturday, November 3 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
