Harris County
Harris County Commissioner's Court Precinct 4
News Release
Sunday, October 21, 2012

Commissioner Jack Cagle present books to Bush library

Harris County Commissioner Jack Cagle presented a much anticipated stack of books to Rhoda Goldberg, Harris County Library Director and Nancy Agafitei, the Barbara Bush Branch Librarian.

On the first anniversary of his appointment as Commissioner of Precinct 4, Cagle hosted a thank you for his many supporters.

Rhoda Goldberg was contacted and a wish list of Texana books was obtained. In lieu of table center decorations, Cagle purchased books to adorn the tables. Those patrons of the breakfast were very appreciative that their donations would provide books for students as well as adults. Following his anniversary breakfast, Cagle presented the many dozens of books to Goldberg and Agafitei.

"Books and libraries are an important part of a community and I hope to make this an annual occurrence," said Cagle.
