GHF TO OFFER RAIN WATER HARVESTING COURSE SATURDAY, OCTOBER 27

Galveston Island, Texas – Galveston Historical Foundation’s Fall Demonstration Class on Harvesting Ran Water for your Galveston Garden, will be held Saturday, October 27 at the GHF Architectural Salvage Warehouse, 908 23rd Street. The class begins at 10 a.m. and will last a little over one hour. To guarantee a seat, pre-registration is encouraged. Admission to individual classes is $10 for GHF members and $12 for non-members. Mark Illian, representative for Nature Healing Nature’s Center for Rainwater Harvesting, will present on harvesting rain water for potable and non potable use. The program will include a demonstration of rainwater equipment with tips for installation. Through the support of the Harris and Eliza Kempner Fund, attendees will have the opportunity to purchase their own rain barrels from the GHF Architectural Salvage Warehouse for half price.
