Lone Star Rally Celebrates 11th Year on Galveston Island
New Route Includes Seawall Boulevard

GALVESTON, TX – Celebrating its 11th year on Galveston Island, the Lone Star Rally is the largest four day motorcycle rally in North America. The Rally boasts Texas-sized contests, concerts, attractions, exhibits, vendors and a new route that includes Seawall Boulevard. It offers free admission to the public and will open Thursday, November 1 and run through Sunday, November 4. 

Street Closures:

Lone Star Rally festivities will be concentrated in Galveston’s historic downtown and Seawall Boulevard.  The event’s entertainment districts will trigger extensive street closures.  Please visit the City of Galveston’s website for a complete listing at www.cityofgalveston.org.

Seawall Boulevard will be subject to traffic closures from 19th Street to 25th Street, starting Wednesday, October 31 at 9 AM. Eastbound traffic will remain open during the Rally dates to both vehicles and motorcycles. Westbound traffic will be routed down 19th Street to Avenue O, westbound to 25th Street and south to Seawall Boulevard.

Unified Command Center:

Operated by the Galveston Police Department, the Unified Command Center will be located downtown to address public safety throughout the Lone Star Rally entertainment district.  Illegal and unsafe conduct will not be tolerated.

RV Parking and Overnight Camping:

Overnight camping is not permitted at any public beach on Galveston Island with the exception of authorized locations.  The term "camping," as defined by the City's code and ordinances, includes any tent, lean-to, sleeping bag, blanket, vehicle, trailer, camper, or other means of shelter. Overnight parking along Seawall is also prohibited.
