Halloween activities offered for trick-or-treaters of all ages

There are plenty of “spook-tacular” Halloween activities planned throughout Pasadena over the course of the next week:

  • Saturday, Oct. 27 – Monster Mash

This family-friendly event will be held from 1-4 p.m. at PAL Gym (2910 Southmore). Monster Mash features a wide array of carnival-style games, including things like bean bag tosses, spinning wheels, bowling and more. All of your favorites from the past will return this year, and we’ve added several new games too. Each game is custom-made for the City, so you won’t find them anywhere else. There will also be plenty of prizes, water tattoos, music and treats.

And come dressed in your favorite costume for our costume contest! There will be prizes in different categories/age groups. Admission is $1 for kids between the ages of 2-16; parents are free. For more information, call Michelle Brock at (713) 473-4257.

  • Wednesday, Oct. 31 – “I Scream for Ice Cream” party for seniors

There will be an "I Scream for Ice Cream" party at the Madison Jobe Senior Center (1700 E. Thomas) from 2-4 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 31. Seniors are invited to come dressed in costume (if they'd like), watch the movie “Love at First Bite,” socialize and enjoy ice cream with all of the toppings. This event is free. For more information, call the Center at (713) 477-0175.

  • Wednesday, Oct. 31 – Haunted House

There will be a haunted house at the O'Dell Harrison Recreation Center (415 Delta) from 7:30-9:00 p.m. on Halloween night. Admission is $1 per person. The haunted house is the creation of the kids and staff at the Center, and it’s just one of the many Halloween activities hosted by the City’s recreation centers. Others include things like pumpkin carving, making monster photo frames, creating masks, a grave diggers’ scavenger hunt, a Halloween carnival and much more. For more information about the Haunted House or any of the other Halloween activities offered at our recreation centers, contact the Parks and Recreation Department at (713) 475-7048 or visit fun.pasadenatexas.net
