Thousands of participants turned out for the annual D’Feet Breast Cancer "Celebration of Life" walk-run on October 27 at Moody Gardens in Galveston.

The event featured a 5K and 10K run as well as a 5K walk and a 1K kid walk/run. All of the proceeds for the day go directly to D’Feet Breast Cancer, which will through its partnership with the Galveston County Health District and others, provide over 800 free breast examinations for women ages 40 to 64 who could otherwise not afford it.
