Bayou Vista City Council on Tuesday voted 4-1, with Rick Nally opposed, to approve a motion for the mayor and an alderman to be present for monthly progress meetings concerning road work funded through the Round 1 and Round 2 Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery Program administered by the Texas General Land Office.
The item had been to consider requiring three representatives from the city to be present at road progress meetings.
The city council voted 4-0-1, with Nally abstaining, to approve a final proposal for the new phone plan as submitted by AT&T.
The city council voted 4-0-1, with Nally abstaining, to authorize signators for contractual documents for requesting funds pertaining to the Texas Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery Program.
The city council took no action regarding discussion of the process by which the city council and mayor chose to use Mercer and Associates for an engineering consultant and Grant Works for grant administrator for Round 2 of road work performed under the grant funding administered by the Texas General Land Office.
A motion to discuss the item died for the lack of a second.
The city council took no action regarding the construction of structures placed on or built on boat houses. The item will be considered at the city council’s November meeting.
The city council discussed, but took no action regarding consultation with Mercer and Associates concerning the road and drainage construction project.
