Port of Beaumont Board of Commissioners

The Port of Beaumont Board of Commissioners today voted unanimously to approve an engagement letter with Germer, PLLC, for legal services for FY2014.

The engagement letter is for the continuing services of Guy Goodson as counsel for the port.

The board voted to approve an engagement letter with Funchess, Mills, White & Co., PC for conducting the FY2013 annual audit.

The board voted to renew the current employee health insurance benefit plan with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas.

The board voted to approve commissioner attendance at the American Association of Port Authorities Annual Convention.  The convention will be held on October 13-18 in Orlando/Port Canaveral, Florida.

All items were approved.  All votes were unanimous with all members present. Agenda

During the meeting, Bill Darling was administered the oath of office for the Ward 1 seat on the board.

Darling was appointed in August to fill an unexpired term on the board.  The term ends in May 2015.
