Music Doing Good Presents “Miracle on 19th Street”
Holiday Concert, Tree-trimming and Celebration of Musical Outreach Programs

HOUSTON – Music Doing Good presents “Miracle on 19th Street”, on Saturday, December 7, 2013, 7 to 10 pm, at Gallery M Squared, 339 West 19th Street, 77008. The event is free to the public; however, donations to Music Doing Good outreach programs are encouraged.  Donations to support outreach programs will garner holiday ornaments to trim the tree; after the event, the tree will be donated to Houston Heights Tower, a retirement community on 19th Street.  Guests will enjoy libations, light bites and holiday cheer while learning about how Music Doing Good outreach programs transform the lives of the underserved in the Houston area.  Seating is limited to first 200 RSVPs (standing room will be available). To RSVP please call 713.900.3468 or email at

This entertaining, inspiring and informative performance will feature favorite holiday tunes, original music by Music Doing Good artists and an audience sing-a-long with a twist.  Short video segments outlining the scope and reach of each outreach program will also be woven into this unique celebration of the Miracle of Music!

Music Doing Good artists include Tricia Fox, Kenneth Gayle, Phillip Hall, Aaron Kaufman, Anita Kruse, David LaDuca, Aisha Ussery, Rodney Waters and Ray Younkin. Additional performers include Brian Brewer (bass) and Richard Cholakian (drums).  Special guest performers will include Music Doing Good Scholarship winners Adam Sadberry (flute) and Katerina Sawyer (saxophone), as well as select participants of the Music Doing Good in Schools program.

Music Doing Good In Concert showcases and supports outreach programs that bring musical enrichment to disadvantaged communities, with a focus on youth. Music Doing Good in Schools produces high quality, afterschool music programming for students of Title I schools in the Houston area. Music Doing Good with Instruments provides free, gently-used instruments to underserved children and underfunded schools. Music Doing Good with Lyrics is a songwriting program that works with children and teens to document, record, and share their life stories through song.  Music Doing Good through Scholarships grants awards to local students, ages 12-18, displaying financial need and exceptional musical talent to fund private lessons and special workshops.

Music Doing Good transforms lives by providing access to music for underserved populations through programs that integrate music, education and musical experience and by fostering the talent of those served.

This year, Music Doing Good will touch the lives of more than 10,000 individuals as the organization strives to create a world where we all live in concert.
