Former TX-36 Candidate, Chuck Meyer, Endorses Ben Streusand
CLEVELAND - Monday night at the Tri County Texas Tea Party meeting in Cleveland, former Congressional District 36 candidate, Chuck Meyer of Lumberton, endorsed Ben Streusand in the runoff race for Congress.
"As a grassroots leader focused on uniting fiscal and social conservatives, I am proud to endorse Ben Streusand for Congress in the race for CD 36," said Meyer. "Ben Streusand has the right moral character, a principled consistency on policy issues and a fearless determination to stand on principle against the status quo in both parties."
"I encourage the tea party and liberty movements to unite behind Ben Streusand. Ben is the conservative in this race we can trust to stand and fight for us at home and in Washington," Meyer continued. Chuck Meyer is a part-time Assistant District Attorney for Hardin County, Texas. He is also a Registered Patent Attorney and a Partner with the national law firm of FisherBroyles, LLP. Meyer is the former Chief Legal Officer of Research In Motion (now BlackBerry®) and immediate past president of the Lone Star Republican PAC. He is an active member of several community, professional and political organizations, including the Hardin County Rotary Club and the Lumberton Chamber of Commerce (as an Ambassador).
Ben Streusand is in the Republican primary runoff for Congress. Ben Streusand is the recent 10-year Chairman of Americans for Prosperity-Texas, Texas' largest Tea Party fiscal activist group, a political commentator on 700AM KSEV, The Voice of Texas and was one of the original supporters of the Tea Party movement in 2009. Streusand is a 30-year veteran of the banking industry. Ben and his wife, Kathy, have been married for 20 years and have two grown children and one fantastic granddaughter.
