Fort Bend County Commissioners Court today voted unanimously to approve a change order to a contract with Turner Construction Company for additional construction services associated with the Central Appraisal District Facility Expansion Project.

The change order will increase the contract amount by $109,305, with a total construction contract amount not to exceed $2,443,478.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to reappoint Dr. Dennis W. Young to represent the county on the Texana Center Board of Trustees.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to approve an interlocal project agreement with the University of Houston System to provide assistance with the construction of an overflow parking lot at the Sugar Land campus, in an amount not to exceed $52,650.

The commissioners court took no action regarding a request by Cory Allan Walker to waive penalty, interest and collection fees totaling $329.50 on property taxes for 2013. The item was pulled from the agenda.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to approve a request by Robert & Kelly Rollins to waive penalty, interest and collection fees totaling $248.43 on property taxes for 2013.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to deny a request by Clinton and Magdaline Stephens to waive penalty, interest and collection fees totaling $317.73 on property taxes for 2013.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to deny a request by Tam and Daniel Tu to waive penalty, interest and collection fees totaling $81.51 for property taxes for 2013.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to approve a request by David Hermes to waive penalty, interest and collection fees totaling $622.15 on property taxes for 2013.

The commissioners court took no action regarding the purchase of a truck from Helfman Ford for addition to the fleet for use by the Facilities Department. The item was pulled from the agenda.
