San Jacinto College to host career fair

HOUSTON – San Jacinto College will host a career fair to allow students and local residents to network with Houston area employers.

The career fair is free and open to the public, and will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 1 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., in the Monument Room of the Slovacek Student Center, located on the San Jacinto College North Campus at 5800 Uvalde Road in Houston.

“Students, alumni and community members seeking employment are invited to attend the career fair,” commented Dinorah Ramos, San Jacinto College North Campus career and employment center coordinator. “Our goal is to promote lifelong career development and help our community grow.”
People who attend the fair should wear business attire and bring copies of résumés. Companies will be reviewing résumés and interviews will be conducted on site.

To date, 41 companies and agencies are scheduled to attend the event, including (but not limited to): Texas Veterans Commission, City of Houston, Delta Tech Service, East Houston Medical Center, Harris County Department of Education, Metalskills, The Houstonian Hotel Club & Spa, HydroChem, Texas Bay Area Credit Union, and Texas Department of Public Safety.
