The Houston-Galveston Area Council Transportation Policy Council on Friday voted unanimously to approve two amendments to the 2017-2020 Transportation Improvement Program and 2040 Regional Transportation Plan. Item Summary

These amendments are:

  • The increase of H-GAC funding toward the City of Sugar Land SH 6 widening project due to significantly increased costs for construction and right-of-way acquisition
  • The programming of the Gulf Coast Center’s FTA Section 5307 (Urbanized Area) Program of Projects apportioned for FY 2015 and FY 2016 in the Texas City/La Marque and Lake Jackson/Angleton Urbanized Areas in the TIP

The policy council voted unanimously to approve amendments to the 2016-2017 Unified Planning Work Program.

The set of amendments proposes to correct budgeted personnel expense in Subtask 3.1 that was erroneously omitted from previous TPC meeting materials and amend the description and funding amount of the Port Area Mobility Study in Subtask 5.3.

The policy council listened to presentations on regional thoroughfare plans for Montgomery County, Fort Bend County, and the City of Houston. Listen (21:07)
