Investigation into Fatal Crash at 9300 Fondren Road

Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 9300 Fondren Road about 1:15 p.m. on Thursday (March 16).

The identity of the male victim, 24, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant L. Ross and Officer O. Sulaiman reported:

The driver of a red Chrysler 300 was traveling westbound in the 6600 block of Wanda, failed to yield the right of way from a stop sign at Fondren and pulled into the intersection.  The Chrysler was struck on the driver's side by a white Yamaha motorcycle traveling northbound on Fondren.  HFD paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the motorcycle operator (victim) deceased.

The driver of the Chrysler, who remained at the scene, showed no signs of intoxication, was questioned and released.

The investigation is continuing.
