The Port of Orange Board of Commissioners on Monday voted unanimously to name Scot Sheldon with Moore Landry, LLP as the port's new attorney, as discussed in closed session.

The board voted unanimously to deny a request by AT&T Services/Southwestern Bell Telephone Company for the waiver and refund of all property tax interest and penalties for Tax Year 2016.

The board voted unanimously to renew the port's medical insurance policy through the Texas Municipal League MultiState Intergovernmental Employee Benefits Pool for the period of October 1 through September 30.

The renewal came with an increase of 15 percent to the port's premiums.

The board set its next regular meeting, which is on July 10, for a budget workshop.

The board voted unanimously to renew a lease for a period of 6 months with SMH Polymers, LLC for the lease of a warehouse at the port's Border Street complex, as discussed in closed session.

The board took no action on any other items discussed in executive session.

All other items were approved by unanimous vote. All members were present. Agenda
