Teddy Bears hit the streets of League City

League City Historical Society presents its 17th Annual Teddy Bear Parade, Tuesday, July 4, beginning 10:30 am.

Decorate your bicycle, scooter, wagon, stroller or anything on wheels and join the parade. Participants line up in front of the West Bay Common School Children’s Museum, 210 North Kansas and League City at 10 am. All children from infants through sixteen years of age are invited to enter.

The Parade route follows Second Street to Butler’s Courtyard, 122 North Michigan Avenue. Individual prizes will be awarded in age-related categories. Following the parade, free food and entertainment begins at 11:30 am in League Park, 200 East Main Street.

The parade has tripled its participation over the past sixteen years. In 2016, parade attendance reached over 200 including volunteers, police support, participants, parents, grandparents, siblings and parade watchers. Of the 54 registered participants, there were 16 individuals, 10 sets of twins, 4 groups of triplets and 1 set of quadruplets.
