Investigation into Incident at 5710 Glenmont

Houston police are investigating the stabbing of a woman that occurred at 5710 Glenmont at about 12:40 a.m. today (July 3).  

The victim, Miriam Iturrios, 19, of the above address, was transported to an area hospital with bruises and lacerations.  

HPD Major Assaults Unit Officers A. Hernandez, J. Roberts and A. Ferrell reported:  

HPD patrol officers responded to a cutting-in-progress call at the above address and found a male had been stabbed in the leg.  Ms. Iturrios told police the male, whom she identified as her live-in boyfriend, assaulted her inside their residence and she stabbed him in self-defense.  The suspect was transported to an area hospital to be treated and was then taken into into  custody.  

No charges have been filed at this time, as the investigation is continuing.
