Friendswood residents celebrate the Declaration of Independence

Friendswood has celebrated the Fourth of July each year since it was founded in 1895. In addition to the Grand Parade and concert and fireworks, in 2017, they divided the Declaration of Independence into sections; each no more than a sentence or two. Readers were first responders, elected officials, students, clergy, athletes, former mayors, astronauts, local service club presidents, City Staff members, nominees to the military academies, and others from the community.

The sections have been recorded and edited into a single video, and posted on the City of Friendswood YouTube Channel at https://youtu.be/Wcb7jF_hQpo

It is also available at the “Friendswood City” Facebook page and www.Friendswood.com

The video will be played at the July 10  City Council meeting.
