Investigation into Fatal Crash at 400 Maxey Road

Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 400 Maxey Road about 12:55 a.m. today (July 7).

The identity of the deceased male victim, 7, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant J. Salazar and Officer B. Roberts reported:

A female driver, 29, was traveling southbound in a white Nissan Rogue at the above address when she failed to maintain a single lane, went into a grassy area, struck a speed limit sign and a light pole.  Her vehicle then went airborne and landed on its driver side in a business parking lot.

One passenger (the victim) was ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene.  Two other children, ages 4 and 6, and the driver were transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

There is no arrest or charge filed at this time as the investigation is continuing.
